Top 10 of my Favorite Dessert Recipes! (2024)

Chocolate Chunk Paleo Cookies

There isn’t too many things better than the smell of chocolate chip cookies baking in the oven. It’s such a comforting smell. The aroma brings back the good ole days spent hanging around the kitchen sneaking cookie dough from the mixer when my mom wasn’t paying attention. Don’t act like you’ve never done it! These are by far the best dairy free, gluten free, flour free, low sugar, paleo, and healthy cookies I have ever had. I won’t be making chocolate chip cookies any other way from now on unless it’s for a special event. Sometimes eating 3 or 4 rich chocolate chips cookies can leave me feeling a tad guilty and groggy the rest of the day. I’m only human! Especially before bed! That’s when my biggest sweet tooth starts a war. I downed about three of these last night and two this morning! They are guiltless. There is no dairy, grains, or processed sugar to make you feel bloated and full.

60 Calorie Whole Wheat Pumpkin Bars

Halloween, Thanksgiving, or no holiday at all! These pumpkin bars are a must! As you already know, I am a huge fan of enjoying my favorite treats in healthier ways. Yesterday was no exception. My parents came to Detroit to visit and I wanted to bake up one of my dad and I’s favorites…pumpkin bars!

The average pumpkin bar contains over 250 calories. And if you are anything like me…one isn’t enough sometimes! I wanted to make a recipe that I could feel good about eating and going back for seconds.

Whole Wheat Avocado Brownies!

I took one of my mom’s brownie recipes and transformed all the ingredients. I substituted the butter with yogurt and avocado; I took out the salt, replaced the sugar with Stevia and agave, added extra unsweetened cocoa powder instead of chocolate bark, and used whole wheat flour instead of white.

The brownies turned out awesome! They didn’t taste light, either. They were super rich, chocolaty, and fudge-y. I told my friendto try one before I told himwhat it was made of and he LOVED them! He was excited to find out they were healthy.

Oh, and you can’t taste ANY of the avocado! They are very close to tasting like the boxed dark chocolate brownies!

I had over 100 people send me photos of their avocado brownies and they all had great things to say!

Healthy Holiday Fruit Pizza
I love fruit pizza. You can decorate it to match any holiday. Store bought fruit pizza is made from a sugar cookie, cream cheese, and cane sugar. I wanted to make a similar recipe but keep it light and guiltless. If you are having a hard time choosing a healthy dish to make for a Memorials Day bbq, I promise this one won’t let you down!

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

75 Calorie Whole Wheat Loaded Blueberry Muffins w/a Protein Glaze

The best part of blueberry muffins are obviously the blueberries, so I load the batter with them! Tons of bakery, store bought, and homemade muffins are full of sugar and fat. These are the opposite! They’re healthy muffins loaded with antioxidants, whole wheat, protein, low sugar, and no butter!

Valentines day is less than a week away. For the past couple years, I have resorted to chocolate. I’ve made unhealthy cookies, truffles and cupcakes. This year I wanted to make my Valentine’s favorite candy, but of course, the healthy version.

If you are a mom or work with kids, this would be a great activity to make with the little ones. They are all natural, fun and safe for kids to get carried away in. Turn this recipe into a: art lesson, math lesson or shape lesson. I’m sure you can think of something:)

Healthy Chocolate Blueberry Banana Cupcakes With Peanut Butter Whipped Frosting!

The liners fell right off, and they smelled so delicious. Taking the first bite worried me. They looked beautiful, but did they taste beautiful?

YOU BET THEY DID!

The blueberries and chocolate popped in your mouth like those little chocolate covered candies. The frosting complimented the chocolate-banana flavors perfectly, sending my taste buds into happy-mode. The trail mix gave the bites a crunchy texture.

I highly recommend this cupcake for any birthdays or special occasions. It’s hard to believe this delicious cake did not contain: sugar, milk, oils, flour, salt, butter, heavy whipping cream or any of the other common cake ingredients.

Healthy Whole Wheat Peanut Butter Cookies

This afternoon, my mom and I baked healthy peanut butter cookies and avocado brownies! We took her original peanut butter cookie recipe and made some alterations. They were pretty kick-ass! I mean, you can’t go wrong with peanut butter. You all know my unhealthy obsession with it.

Almond Flour Macadamia Nut Cookies

Growing up, we went to Subway a lot! It was close to the house and always easier than making dinner after practice. I could NEVER go to Subway without buying a macadamia nut cookie. They are still my favorite! The only downfall is that they are 220 calories, 11 g of fat, 30 g carbs, 0 fiber, 18 g sugar, and I could easily eat the 3 for a $1 deal! That is the kind of treat I had to cut back on. Now, I like getting my cookie fixes in healthier versions. And to me, they taste just as great!

I decided to go with the same paleo cookie base recipe because it’s worked so well for me. It also tastes incredibly close to the classic floury cookies! It’s worked with the chocolate chip cookies, snicker doodle cookies, and almond butter cookies. And now, it’s worked the BEST with these white chocolate macadamia nut cookies. These are hands down the best healthy cookies I’ve ever made.

Chocolate Graham Cracker Peanut Butter Banana Dessert Pizza

For our Superbowl party, I made a chocolate peanut butter football dessert pizza. It was light, tasty, and super cute!
