This restaurant offers you nice food and a place to rest after a long walk around Rome Historical Society & Museum. Here you can order the Chinese cuisine. Try good hot & sour soup, orange chicken and wontons China House offers. After a long working day, you can taste delicious tea.

I have to say, for the most part, this restaurant is on top of its game for Chinese takeout. It is consistent in portion and flavor. Whether we dine-in or takeout, service is *always* prompt and regular. Food is always hot and tasty. The owner is always kind to us and seems like he knows how to run a food business. I've ordered from here many times over the past four years and they have probably only messed up like...two or three times max and it wasn't even memorable so I can't even say what it was. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Displeased with portion size of both entrees. I ordered “Quart” size entrees and they put them in the flat plastic container used for combo meals and it wasn’t even full! I emptied out the quart size rice container and filled with entree and it didn't even come to the top of container. I felt ripped off after spending $80.00 for dinner. Why don't they put the entree in the quart sized cardboard container like most places? Because they are skimping on potion sizes. Charging more for meal and decreasing amount. Like others have said there’s little to no meat in the meals as well. (Wish I would’ve ordered pizza instead.) I called the restaurant and I was told -Ok I’ll let the kitchen know.” But how was I going to be comped for my shortage in my entree? I was told by the manager “We don’t fill the containers to the top!” Well, Obviously. There food is good, but I will not be ordering or eating there ever again. I will order Japanese or cook at home. If ordering there only order soup or rice, only then will you get the proper amount you paid for. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: House Special Fried Rice, Hot & Sour Soup

We’ve been coming to China House for many years and they are a solid Chinese restaurant, the best in Rome in our opinion. While we like this place, we have found that over the years the servings have gotten slightly smaller and the prices more expensive. In part, it’s the world we live in but we still have China House as our “go to” Chinese restaurant. We generally do take out and it’s always ready within the 10-15 mins they promise. We haven’t eaten in since before COVID. While dated, the restaurant has always been clean - it does the trick. Overall it’s a good place. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
